Resist Facism — Resist the Coup Workshop

Are there activists in the Nevada County community who want to protest the current upheaval caused by the new administration in Washington D.C.? On Wednesday February 25 the Nevada County Democratic Party hosted a “Resist” workshop where this question was explored. 

Attendees shared their thoughts on how to keep their mental well-being during this ominous time. Most of the 175 attendees consider themselves activists and plan to resist openly and courageously. Trustworthy journalists and sources based on facts and the truth were shared as well as informative social media and podcasts.

A variety of actions were suggested such as calling their representatives in Washington and signing a petition for Kevin Kylie to hold a town hall meeting to address their concerns.

The next workshop, to be held on March 25th,  will be on writing scripts and learning how to edit and upload videos to social media.
