November 2024 Chair Report

On behalf of the Nevada County Democratic Party, I wish you a joyful holiday season of reconnection with friends, family and community. Let’s thank all local candidates we supported this election cycle for their efforts and congratulate those who won. We also celebrate our three federal candidates at the top of the ticket since we retained our county's blue status by again having the majority of the federal level ballots be Democratic at about 55% of the vote. Thus, we remain an example for our region to move forward together in the coming years.

There are many opportunities to stay involved, get more involved, or get involved for the first time in North state Democratic politics. We are looking for people interested in participating on committees such as events outreach, candidate recruitment and support, communications, finance and fundraising, and get out the vote as well as the central committee itself. We also need database and technical expertise. Please reach out to me about becoming eligible for an appointment to the Nevada County DCC, serving one of our committees, or both.

I enjoyed a great evening with over 70 of our recent election's volunteers last night. A huge thank you to all of you who worked on this election with us this year.
