The so-called Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has steamrolled itself through the federal government, obliterating crucial jobs that will impact us here at home: health care, food safety, housing, lifesaving research, veterans and social security benefits, and so much else.

Help Amplify Good Information on Social Media
When you see great information on our social media feeds, please take a moment to add a thoughtful comment and share with others. This is the secret to helping good information grow.
You can also help us reduce the spread of negative or dis-information. If it sounds fishy, check it out or just don’t share it. And the biggest secret? DON’T engage in long arguments on bad posts. It only feeds the algorithms and makes the bad message go farther!
Send Postcards to Trump
We have pre-addressed postcards available — ready to send to the White House! Write one postcard. Write a dozen!
Pick them up at the Nevada County Democratic Headquarters in Grass Valley any Monday/Wednesday/Friday between 1 and 4pm. There’s plenty of space for personal comments. A donation of $5 per pack is appreciated.
Write a Letter to the Editor
A letter to the editor is a powerful way to shape public opinion, call out elected officials, and demand accountability. Leaders like Congressman Kevin Kiley need public scrutiny—and your voice can help turn up the heat.
You can use this form to send a letter-to-editor up to 250 words to The Union Newspaper in Grass Valley. Or, write an “opinion piece” up to 700 words and send to letters@theunion.com.
