Whereas Nevada County experienced the election of an unqualified county auditor; and,

Whereas AB 910 significantly reduces the chances of unqualified persons slipping by the elections office while attempting to run for the county auditor as well as selected other county offices by requesting college transcripts; and,

Whereas the qualifications of the county auditor were upgraded to a BA degree with a major in accounting and their at least experience must include public accounting, not just private, including at least three years in a county auditor’s office; and,

Be it therefore resolved that the Nevada County Democratic Central Committee highly recommends supporting this bill.
