We Want Your Story!
The so-called Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has steamrolled itself through the federal government, obliterating crucial jobs that will impact us here at home: health care, food safety, housing, lifesaving research, veterans and social security benefits, and so much else.
We urge you to tell your story to illustrate how Trump/Musk actions on the national stage are cascading to folks in our local community. Please consider writing letters to the Union editor (200 words) or Opinion pieces (500-750 words). letters@theunion.com
Please also consider sending your stories to us, the Nevada County Democrats to share anonymously. We empathize with those caught in the path of destruction and are working hard to expose the harm and stop it. Email us at nevadacountydems@gmail.com
Until voters understand that their choices impact their everyday lives, we run the risk of maintaining this dangerous status quo. Thank you for speaking out!
“As a volunteer, I enjoy communicating with other Democrats within our county. I also thrive on getting involved in promoting our candidates and our party, instead of watching from the sidelines. I enjoy being able to find common purpose with others which usually leads to compelling conversations.”
