BE A DELEGATE TO THE CALIFORNIA STATE PARTY CONVENTION
Would you like to influence Democratic policies at the state and national level? This month there is an opportunity to be elected to the California Democratic Party's Central Committee which holds a convention every year. You would serve as a delegate from our Assembly District #1 for the next two years, attending one convention each year. Generally, one convention will be held in Southern California and the other in Northern California. If, in addition to attending the convention once a year, you would like to be the Assembly Delegate to the Excutive Board which meets an additional twice a year, you must register separately for that position.
The candidate registration is open from December 9th through January 8th. If you are a person who is interested in politics, the California Democratic convention is a very exciting place to be. California's Democratic Party is one of the largest and most influencial paties in the nation. Any registered Democrat can vote in the ADEM election, but you must be specifically registered to do so. Registration will open for electronic and in-person registration on January 6th at the link above. The voting is in February.
Please note there will be no DCC meeting in December 2024.
The Nevada County Democrats Central Committee (DCC) meets both in person and online on the third Thursday of each month at 6:30pm.
